Legal
These terms explain how Tadda works and what you can expect from us, in plain language, without the dense legalese. Please read them: using Tadda means you agree to them.
Last updated 20 June 2026
By using Tadda, visiting our site, creating a gift, adding a message, or watching one, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Tadda.
These terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data. Where local law gives you stronger rights, those rights always come first.
Tadda is a service that turns scattered family messages into one shared video gift, so loved ones can celebrate together even when they are far apart.
Tadda is operated by [Tadda, registered entity name], based at [registered address]. We are still finalising our formal company details and will update this page as soon as they are confirmed.
To create a gift and pay for it, you must have the legal capacity to enter a contract where you live. For most people, that means being an adult.
Tadda is not built for young children. A minor may only take part, for example, by adding a message, with the agreement and supervision of a parent or guardian, who stays responsible for that use.
Tadda has three simple roles. The organizer creates a gift and is the only person who pays. Contributors add messages or short clips. The recipient watches the finished gift and can claim it as their own.
Keeping family in is the whole point, so we made it effortless:
This zero-install promise is core to how Tadda works, and we intend to keep it.
Organizers sign in with their WhatsApp number or email and a one-time code (OTP) sent through their chosen channel. There is no password to remember.
Keep your phone, email, and codes to yourself. You are responsible for activity that happens through your sign-in, so tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
Tadda is a place for warmth and celebration. When you add content, you agree not to upload anything that is:
Film and record people with respect. If a clip features someone else, make sure you have their consent to record them and to share that moment in the gift.
Your memories stay yours. You keep full ownership of every message, photo, and clip you add to Tadda.
To assemble the gift, you grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and combine your media into the finished video, and to deliver it to the people you choose. This licence exists only to make your gift work, and it ends when your content is deleted.
We will never sell your content, and we will never use it to train AI. Consent comes first, and any media we enhance, for example, to improve the sound or steady a shaky clip, is clearly labelled as enhanced.
Only the organizer pays, and the price is always shown up front. Nothing is due from anyone before the gift is revealed.
We support local payment methods, including FCFA, alongside cards and other rails as they become available. Payments are handled by our payment providers; refunds and chargebacks are processed through them, in line with their rules and your local consumer rights.
You can review current prices any time on our pricing page.
Tadda relies on trusted partners to do its job, for example, payment processors to handle payments, hosting and content-delivery providers to store and stream your media, and WhatsApp to deliver gifts and links.
These services are run by other companies and governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We choose partners carefully, but we do not control how they operate their platforms.
Tadda is a young product that is still growing. We work hard to keep it running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available without interruption.
Features may change, improve, or pause as we learn. Our mobile apps are offered when available, and some capabilities may roll out gradually or differ by region.
Tadda is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. While we put real care into the experience, we cannot guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose beyond what these terms describe.
Nothing here removes the protections that the law gives you and that cannot be waived.
To the extent the law allows, Tadda is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from your use of the service. Our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the gift in question.
Some laws do not allow certain limits. Where that is the case, those limits simply do not apply to you, and your statutory rights remain intact.
You can stop using Tadda at any time, and you can ask us to delete your data whenever you wish.
We may suspend or close access if these terms are broken, for example, through abusive content or misuse that puts others at risk. Where it is fair and possible, we will give you notice and a chance to put things right.
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of France and the European Union, whose data-protection and consumer rules we aim to meet. [Jurisdiction to be finalised.]
If something goes wrong, talk to us first, most issues are resolved quickly and kindly. Nothing here affects mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
As Tadda grows, these terms may change. When we make a meaningful update, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know.
If you keep using Tadda after a change takes effect, that means you accept the updated terms.
